COVID-19 RULES & RECOMMENDATIONS
As we know, COVID-19 has been running rapid throughout the United States. That being said, we are implementing various rules and recommendations to make the event be as safe and clean as possible until the pandemic is over. The promoters have been keeping a very close eye on all information being released from the Center of Disease Control (CDC) as well as listening to Pennsylvania State mandates and regulations.
OUR RULES & REQUIREMENTS:
- STAY HOME IF YOU ARE SICK (even with a common cold or flu) or IF YOU HAVE BEEN IN CONTACT WITH SOMEONE WHO HAS/HAD COVID-19. As much as we would love to see everyone as possible, if you feel ill or have been around someone who has/had COVID-19, asymptomatic individuals could still pass the germs to another thus majorly increasing the risk of spread. We ask you to please skip attending this year.
- All vendors, creators, guests, and attendees MUST wear a cloth mask or shield face covering to attend the event. We strongly recommend if you cannot wear a mask to please see about creating or purchasing a face shield. Those exempt from having to wear a mask include: Babies or children younger than 2 years old, anyone who may have trouble breathing, and anyone who is otherwise physically unable to remove the face covering without assistance.
- 6 feet social distancing is strongly recommended when attending the event. The WSCC will emphasize this through signs, tape, and announcements.
- Hand Sanitizing Stations: Each individual table of creators will have hand sanitizer or hand wipes to provide.
- Limitations of room capacity may occur. As regulated and put into effect by Gov. Tom Wolf on Thursday, July 16th, 2020, Pennsylvania has been put under more extensive limitations. Part of this is having indoor venue attending be no more than 25 people at one time. With that said, we respect this regulation, but are going to follow with no more than 25% of the normal room capacity as set by the fire marshal of Williamsport. More information regarding this point will come soon.

OFFICIAL COVID-19 EVENT RECOMMENDATIONS
Listed below are recommendations given by the CDC that we feel are very important when it comes to this year's event. View the information from their website HERE.

WHAT ACTIONS CAN BE TAKEN TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID-19?
Cleaning your hands often, avoid close contact with people who are sick, staying home when you are sick, covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue, inside of your elbow, or in your mask. (DO NOT TAKE MASK OFF TO SNEEZE!), cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces, using a cloth face covering or shield in public, especially when it may be difficult to maintain a distance of at least six feet from other people. Encouraging staying six feet from other attendees as much as possible.
Focus on the ability to reduce/limit contact between attendees. In general, the more people you interact with, the more closely you interact with them, and the longer that interaction, the higher your risk of getting and spreading COVID-19. Providing supplies for attendees that can be used to help prevent the spread of germs, (masks, wipes, and hand sanitizer).
DOES CDC RECOMMEND ALL EVENT ATTENDEES TO WEAR CLOTH FACE COVERINGS?
CDC recommends that people wear cloth face coverings in public settings and when around people who don't live in their household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain. Cloth face coverings are most essential when physical distancing is difficult (such as when moving within a crowd or audience). Cloth face coverings are meant to protect other people in case the wearer is unknowingly infected but does not have symptoms (asymptomatic individuals). Cloth face coverings are strongly encouraged in settings where individuals might raise their voice (such as shouting, chanting, or singing).
Advise that cloth face coverings should not be placed on:
- Babies or children younger than 2 years old
- Anyone who has trouble breathing
- Anyone who is unconscious, incapacitated, or otherwise unable to remove the cloth face covering without assistance.
